What?! No cake?!? Encroyable!

Let me just say that I know that I have been totally neglecting this wee blog, but it is really remarkable how much time a wedding can vacuum out of a person's time! It wasn't even MY wedding!

Yep, the Evil Twin is all grown up and married as of Saturday. My newly minted brother-in-law is a really great guy, they are totally suited to each other right down to the ground, and they are going to be happy together for a very, very long time.

It was an absolutely beautiful ceremony and a fantastically fun reception.

The highlight of the night was when my Dad ended his toast to my sister by surprising her by serenading her with a song by Tim McGraw, My Little Girl. There was not one single dry eye in the entire hall. It was something he had been working on for months and months and he pulled it off perfectly. My sister was blown away. Everyone was blown away.

It is a fact that I danced for hours straight and when I couldn't find my groove I simply switched over to an aerobic workout routine, complete with jumping jacks and cross cuts, much to the amusement to my two little cousins (5 & 8) who then imitated me to the total amusement of everyone else. There is nothing like doing jumping jacks to the Humpty Dance to get attention.

It is also a fact that in my toast to my sister I referenced my underpants. Total class, right?

Sooooo with all the dancing, gabbing, laughing, and toasting I somehow managed to NOT get a bite of cake! How terrible is that? Pretty awful. It is my only regret.

Well now I am back to business. And I really sense that there is some cake in my immediate future.

At my oldest brother's wedding, my other brother, in his best man toast, referenced the bathroom. It's all good.
